Will this course be helpful for academics?
This spoken English course will help learners grasp all subjects taught in English, along with enabling them to become confident speakers in day-to-day interactions. Our curriculum is aligned with the Common European Framework (CEFR), an international standard for describing language ability. This course helps children enjoy the language while ensuring it doesn’t become a barrier when it comes to following any subject.
How is this course different from the one taught in schools?
English is taught as a second language in Indian schools with more focus on grammar and writing, and less on application and speaking. Our unconventional practice-first approach provides them with an environment that makes learners feel comfortable speaking English without worrying about making mistakes. Our classes are built around real-life situations that help them acquire fluency and accuracy naturally, which usually is not the approach followed in schools.
What is taught in this course?
This course approaches language learning the LSRW way, that is, with a focus on acquiring skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing that are essential for proficiency. These skills are explored through classes that teach creative writing, conversational techniques, practical speaking, persuasive speech, story narration, and so much more! We also have classes that help hone your child’s leadership skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
How is this different from the English elective classes?
This course focuses on improving your child’s speaking skills by providing them with a platform where they can practise speaking English without the fear of making mistakes. Moreover, with smaller class size, teachers get to devote more time to each student and enable peer interaction between the students.

What will be the benefits of this particular course?
This course helps children enjoy learning the language. Our classes are built around real-life situations that help them acquire fluency and accuracy naturally, with a focus on skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing that are essential for proficiency.
Where will the classes take place?
You can take these classes from anywhere at your convenience. A phone, laptop, or desktop with a good internet connection for facilitating live classes is required.
How frequent are the classes?
We conduct batches of 1 class per week so that the child gets an ample amount of time to absorb and practise what was taught.
Who will be the teacher?
This course will be taught by the top 1% of teachers who are selected by an industry-leading 4-step teacher assessment process designed by the top 1% of early childhood English experts. All our teachers are Cambridge certified and undergo rigorous training on teaching methods and early education before they start teaching any students.
What is the refund policy?
Anytime you feel dissatisfied with the service, please reach out to us at english@byjus.com. We will do our best to address your concerns. If you still decide to discontinue the service and cancel the subscription and/or programme, we offer a ‘No questions asked’ pro-rated refund. Under our refund policy, you are eligible to receive a refund for the remaining amount of paid-for lessons on a pro-rata basis net of 5% payment processing charges (on the pro-rata refund amount). The refund will be made to the source account.
